Clinical Specialist Neuro Physiotherapist

Allison is originally from Middlesborough but has lived in Newport for many years. Allison joined the Morrello team in 2018. Previously Allison was a stroke research fellow at Swansea University and Clinical Lead for Neurophysiotherapy for an NHS Health Board. Her primary specialty is gait and balance reeducation, and she has a special interest in observational and video gait analysis and the treatment of knee hyperextension during walking. Allison also specialises in the assessment and treatment of people with imbalance and dizziness caused by vestibular problems such as vestibular hypofunction and benign paroxysmal positional vertigo (BPPV).

Outside the clinic, Allison is an avid crafter and enjoys the mindfulness of crafting when life is busy. She also keeps fit with yoga, pilates and spin classes.
