Because sometimes exercising on a treatment couch, a Gymball or mat is not enough, Morrello Clinic has access to a wide range of highly specialist equipment and our staff are all experienced in setup and support of FES and Saebo rehabilitation systems.
Functional Electrical Stimulation FES is a treatment technique where small electricall pulses are applied to the skin from a handheld device. These pulses are used to help activate muscles which are paralysed. FES and Saebo are used to compliment our hands on treatments and the exercise programmes we setup at home.

AI NeuroSkin Therapy
Following on from the story on BBC on 15 Aug 2023 with our patient Julie who has trialled the new AI rehabilitation suit at Morrello:
This “NeuroSkin” suit combines sensory receptors from muscle activity and joint positioning with a network of muscle stimulators to deliver the appropriate levels of muscle activity to the muscles of the leg affected by Stroke.
The continuous feedback and stimulation loop enhances relearning walking over ground and over obstacles such as stairs and curbs.
After successful trials, Morrello is now looking for 5 people who want to intensify their stroke rehabilitation during October and November 2023 with the AI NeuroSkin technology. Register your interest by sending us a message.
