Tom’s Story

Tom Williams is a teaching assistant, musician and sled hockey player from Cardiff. Since Tom’s teens he has been heavily involved in his local music scene, both regularly attending and playing gigs.

Throughout his life Tom has suffered with mental health difficulties, and unfortunately after a suicide attempt in 2022, he is completely paralysed from the waist down.

Using the exoskeleton Tom was able to get back on his feet for the first time in almost 2 years, and dreams of how good it would be to be able to integrate the exoskeleton into his life.

Tom is determined to make the most out of his second chance at life, and is determined to achieve his dreams and aspirations, no matter how big or small they may be.
